OREANDA-NEWS. July 03, 2012. The ceremony of rewarding the winners of the annual "Deal of the Year" award was held in London. The prestigious award of the Trade Finance Magazine was given for financing the construction project of the TANEKO Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex with participation of the export credit agencies of Denmark (EKF) and Italy (SACE), which had been announced by TATNEFT and TANECO in December 2011, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

It is to be recalled that the article headed "A slick operation for Tatarstan" was published in the March issue of the TRADE FINANCE magazine providing the information on the transaction, stating the following: "The loan was granted by a group of banks in the form of a two transactions "package", the amount of which totaled 219.5 million dollars. Nordea Bank acted as a facility agent for EKF loan in the amount of USD 75 million, and it was joined by the banks "Sumitomo Mitsui " (SMBS) and "Societe Generale" as the authorized organizers". "Societe Generale" was also the agent for documentation, which was signed on November 15, 2011.

The Royal Bank of Scotland and ZENIT Bank were consultants of TATNEFT, which also provided security for the loans.
