OREANDA-NEWS. July 04, 2012. This was stated by Premier of Moldova Vladimir Filat at a video conference held together with his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta on Tuesday. In 2011 the bilateral trade between Moldova and Romania reached its record growth of 50%, Vladimir Filat reminded. Prospects of wider bilateral cooperation with Romania will be discussed during a forthcoming visit of Romanian Premier Victor Ponta to Chisinau, the Moldovan Premiers has noted.

The parties are going to schedule implementation of projects in the energy and other important sectors. Vladimir Filat has expressed hope for the better cooperation of Chisinau and Bucharest in frontier managements and for the ensuring of the integrative frontier management as Romania enters the Schengen Area this autumn.

This is very important for Moldova in the context of its dialogue with EU on visa regime liberalization, the Premier of Moldova said. He also mentioned the importance of extending humanitarian cooperation and called on Romanian authorities to show the careful approach to admittance of Moldovan young people to Romanian high schools.
