In January-July 2012, the volume of foreign currencies trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT7,459.8 bn (USD50,266.8 m) and decreased against the similar period of 2011 by 16.2 % (17.2 % in USD), reported the press-centre of KASE.

In comparison with the previous seven month period (June-December 2011) the trades volume decreased by 15.5 % (16.2 % in USD). The weighted average rate of tenge to US dollar, calculated on all deals of the main (morning) trade session at KASE in the period from January 4, 2012 to July 31, 2012, made up KZT148.36 per dollar, on all exchange deals - KZT148.39 per dollar.

Tenge devalued against the US dollar on weighted average exchange rate in the current year at 1.08% (1,86) APR. In the first seven months of 2012 the devaluation rate of tenge to US dollar in nominal value made up 1.07 %.

In 2011 the revaluation rate of tenge to US dollar in nominal value made up 0.61 %.

In 2010 the revaluation rate of tenge to dollar in nominal value made up 0.65 %.
