OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2012. Social initiative to reduce the costs of mortgages is gaining momentum that confirmed by the pattern of recent weeks. This was stated by the Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Anatoliy Blyznyuk at a briefing on the results of the Government meeting.

According to him, we’ve recently paid more attention to the improvement of the mechanism of realization of the program. During talks with public, banks, developers and due to proposals of local authorities we see the need to make changes in the Order to reduce the costs of mortgages. Within four months, the government made necessary changes three times.

At the meeting of the Cabinet were invited the heads of the regions, where the program was launched.

This gave the following results - at the beginning of September within the program it was concluded 336 contracts for the provision of partial compensation of interest and funded 335 loans totaling more than UAH 79 million of these, 103 loans - in Kyiv. However, in Kirovograd Region there is no signed contract and is not given any credit. There was given by one loan in Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ternopil and Luhansk Regions. We shouldn’t stop there, we must go on to solve the housing problems of our citizens, the Minister says.
