OREANDA-NEWS. December 06, 2012. During a working trip to the West Kazakhstan Oblast (WKO), Deputies of RK Majilis Parliament Yelena Tarassenko and Viktor Kiyanskiy, accompanied by Kenzhebai Nigmet, the WKO Nur Otan Democratic Peoples’ Party First Deputy Chairman, and senior officials of the Burlin District Akimat visited Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO), reported the press-centre of KPO.  

Greeting the distinguished guests during their meeting with KPO Senior management, Luca Vignati, KPO Deputy General Director, expressed gratitude for their support of the Karachaganak Project. The MPs and officials have been provided with a detailed field overview and the highlights of KPO performance.

The guests were also briefed about the on going field development activities, as well as further plans for the development of the Karachaganak field, KPO’s contribution to the region's social-economic development and implementation of the Nationalisation and Vendor Development programmes.

Mrs.Tarassenko, RK Majilis Deputy, said: “We can see how rapidly the Karachaganak Field is being developed, and which impressive results have been achieved”.

She noted that the Karachaganak Project is very important for WKO economy and the Republic of Kazakhstan as a whole, and wished all KPO employees continued success in their endeavors.

During their trip, the distinguished guests also visited the Eco Centre where they have been informed about the preparation of drilling fluids, waste treatment and subsequent disposals.
