OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2013. This was stated by Ambassador of Belgium to Moldova and Romania Philippe Beke at his meeting with chief administrator of FEZ of Balti Marin Ciobanu. He thinks the Moldovan-Belgium forum may be organized like the Moldovan –Austrian forum, which was held in the northern capital of Moldova on September, 21, 2011.

Marian Ciobanu briefly informed the Ambassador about FEZ of Balti, its economic and human resources, and its development plan. He also stressed an importance to adopt modern instrument for attraction of direct foreign investments necessary for creation of jobs, economic sustainability of the region and increase of revenues of the local budget. Participants of the meeting visited residents of FEZ and local companies in the vicinity.

On September, 21, 2011 in FEZ of Balti a Moldovan-Austrian Forum was organized. It was taken part in by 35 Austrian companies. Following the forum, Austrian concern Gebauer&Griller decided to extend their business in Moldova and invest in construction of a plant producing motor care electric wire in FEZ of Balti.

Investments are going to amount to 21 mln. euros, the sales volume is estimated to be 55 mln. euros a year. Thanks to the investment, 120 new jobs will be created, minimum wage being 5 thou. leis.
