OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2013. Mr Elman Rustamov, Governor of the Central Bank received the delegation headed by Ms Aurora Ferrari, Sector Manager, WB Private and Financial Sector Development, Europe and Central Asia.

Participants discussed the current status of the programs implemented by the WB in Azerbaijan in the financial and private sectors and relevant future partnership priorities.

Mr Elman Rustamov, Governor of the Central Bank briefed the guests on the work done by the Central Bank to expand access to finance and develop the banking sector.

Ms Aurora Ferrari, in her turn, expressed her satisfaction with the WB cooperation with Azerbaijan on finance and other strategic fields and mentioned that growth programs are successfully under way in the country. Also she highly appreciated the WB collaboration with the Central Bank.

Further mutual cooperation between the Central Bank and the World Bank was also discussed during the meeting.
