OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB hereby announces that the loan term for Belaruskali has been extended by one year.

In October 2012 Sberbank CIB arranged financing for Belaruskali with a three-year term. The loan, worth \\$1 bln, was guaranteed by the Government of the Republic of Belarus.

Taking into account this prolongation, the overall term for Sberbank CIB’s loan to Belaruskali is now four years. The first tranche of the loan was paid back on October 9, 2013.

“This deal with Belaruskali, carried out amid the current uncertainty on the global potash market, shows that Sberbank of Russia is interested in strengthening its partnerships with leading industry players,” commented Alexey Grenkov, Managing Director of International Coverage in Sberbank CIB’s Investment Banking Department.
