OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid out around RUB 2.5 m to Babino family-owned farm located in Medvensky district of Kurskaya region on account of shortfalls in wheat production.

Winter wheat planted on the area of 480 hectares was insured against such risks as winterkilling, asphyxiation, hail, atmospheric and soil drought, frosts, earthquake, avalanche, ice crust, soil water-logging, high water, natural fire, sand storm, mudflow, high winds, dry hot wind, hurricane wind and other risks.

The high wind damaging the plantings became the insured event. An assessment was required to determine the extent of the damage that recognized the event as insured and led to Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paying out the insurance indemnity to the agricultural enterprise, as stipulated by the agreement.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has been cooperating with Babino family-owned farm since 2010.
