OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2014. Akim of Zhambyl Region Karim Kokrekbayev held a meeting with heads of industrial enterprises in the region. They discussed issues of FIID implementation, as well as the development of entrepreneurship in the region during the meeting.

9 new projects worth 25.3 billion tenge are to be commissioned in the Zhambyl Region this year. It is the production of sodium cyanide with capacity of 15 000 metric tons per year, amounting 10,560 billion tenge in the Talas District. 255 new jobs will be created here.

In addition, 21 MW wind farm worth 6,4 billion tenge will work in the Kordai District, and a meat processing plant of 2,6 billion tenge with capacity of 1757 metric tons per year is to open in the Zhambyl District . It is also planned to open a gold processing plant in the Kordai District for 2,1 billion tenge, and its annual capacity will be 500 kilograms per year.

Projects in the field of agriculture will be implemented as well. They are the poultry production with capacity of 3000 metric tons per year of 1,7 billion tenge in the Baizak District and a fish processing plant with capacity of 1,200 metric tons per year in the amount of 600,0 million tenge in the Moyinkum District. Along with this, the project for deep processing of licorice in the amount of 500,0 million tenge in the Shu District will be implemented by investors from Japan.

An integrated house-building factory by German technology will also be opened in Taraz this year. Project cost is 500,0 million tenge.

In addition, production of aluminum radiators is to start by FIID program in Taraz. The project cost is about 300,0 million tenge.

In general, 1114 persons will be provided with a permanent job by National Program of Forced Industrial Innovation Development in the Zhambyl Region this year.
