OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2014. TATNEFT is taking part in the XVth International specialized exhibition "Energy. Resource Saving" and the XIVth International Symposium on the "Energy resource efficiency and energy conservation" held in Kazan in the pavilions of the Kazan Fair.

The Company has been named a winner of the Republican review contest "Resource Efficiency. Energy Saving" in the nomination "Fuel industry" for active participation in the implementation of the national energy conservation program and achievement of high energy efficiency of the Tatarstan Republic's economy.

Awards have also been conferred to the representatives of the republican media for promoting the energy conservation program and achievements of high energy efficiency. The Winner Diploma in the nomination "Best print media" was awarded to the "Oil News" corporate newspaper of the Company.

The exhibition has been organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Cabinet Center of Energy Saving Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Mayor's Office and JSC "Kazan Fair".

By tradition, the official exhibition opening ceremony was attended by the heads of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, leaders of ministries and departments of Tatarstan, headed by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan and Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Speaking at the opening ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan said: "Attending this exhibition we can see the progress that has been made in the world today.

Many ideas and technologies that we see here will be introduced to the work of our industrial enterprises, social and cultural facilities, as well as in the area of housing and public utilities".

Rustam Minnikhanov also pointed out that our country should meet international standards in terms of its energy efficiency and this kind of exhibitions help solving this challenge.
Following the exhibition opening ceremony the guests of honor viewed over the expositions in two exhibition halls.

An extensive exhibition display of TATNEFT presented in pavilion No. 1 has included main areas and results of the JSC TATNEFT's comprehensive resource saving program designed until 2020. They include organizational arrangements, new equipment and technologies, components of the intellectual power distribution network being implemented at the Company, reconstruction project of the Nizhnekamsk CHP, progressive ways of associated petroleum gas utilization, etc.
The display stands of the Company demonstrate  chain drives developed by TatNIPIneft and manufactured at the Bugulma Mechanical Plant of JSC TATNEFT, technologies of dual completion and production of two or more layers through one well (DCP) that allow simultaneous operation of targets with different reservoir characteristics and properties, engineering developments in well workover area and other energy-saving technologies.
The exhibits displayed include new engineering developments in the construction of wells. For example, application of LWD allows drilling of the horizontal wellbore portion within the most productive part of the reservoir.

The submittals include the results of extra-viscous oil fields development. Application of the steam assisted gravity drainage method at EVO Ashalchinskoye field allowed the Company producing 145.6 thousand tons of oil from horizontal wells in 2013. By the end of 2013 the average daily production amounted to 399 tons. The day-to-day steam-oil ratio was 3.51 t/t.
More than 160 leading companies from Russia, CIS countries and Germany have presented their latest achievements at the specialized exhibition this year. The "Energy. Resource Saving" exhibition exposition has been formed by 11 relevant thematic sections, including measuring and regulating equipment, energy saving equipment, independent energy sources, environmental and energy-efficient technologies and others.

The professionals of JSC TATNEFT have also participated in the XIVth International Symposium on "Energy resource efficiency and energy saving" dealing with topical issues of energy efficiency and innovative methods of energy conservation held within the frame of the exhibition events.
