OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2014. All enterprises of APK “Titan” completed spring sowing of grains in specified agrotechnical time periods.

In every structural subdivision a plan on sowing of barley, oats, sunflower, pea, corn, permanent grasses and also major production culture was performed: spring wheat in APK “Titan” enterprises was sowed on the area of 41 thousand hectares, it exceeds last year indices by more than 8%.

Sowing of annual grass crops is being completed, harrowing of acreage and seed treatment is performed.

The next stage of field works will be herbicide treatment of acreage and hay procurement.

This year harvest’s grain will become feedstock for the provender mill – one of the key objects of “Biocomplex” project. Let us mention, that enterprises of GC “Titan” are included into strategy of Socio-Economic Development of Omsk Region till 2025. In particular, making a report on 10 June during a press-conference in the regional government, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk Region Vitaly Erlich said that one of the key tasks for development of agro-food cluster is making of food product with high added value – project “Biocomplex” is oriented on making this product.

Total area of acreage on enterprises of APK “Titan” is approximately 100 thousand ha. More than 77 thousand ha will be allotted for crops, of them 63,3 thousand hectares will be allotted for spring sowing, including almost 60 thousand hectares for grain cultures.
