OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2014. According to the National Bank of Moldova, if the exchange rate of the national currency vs. US dollar by January 1 2014 made up 13.06 lei for USD 1, on July 1 it made up 14,03 lei per USD 1 dollar.

At the same time, compared to EUR, MDL depreciated slightly declined. If on January 1, 2014, the official rate of Moldovan leu to euro made up 17,97 lei for 1 euro, on July 1 it was established at the level of 19,16 lei per 1 euro.

The main factors that influenced the change in the exchange rate of leu were the dynamics of receipts of currency from abroad, development of foreign trade, the interventions of the National Bank on the currency market, fluctuations of the US dollar at the international currency markets.
