OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2014. We would like to provide you with the explanations to the NBU Resolution dd. 15 July 2014 #423 "On making amendments to some regulatory and legal acts of the National Bank of Ukraine".

Resolution #423 stipulates the following:

Cancellation of the requirement for mandatory sale on the interbank currency market of Ukraine of incomings from abroad in foreign currency in favor of individuals (residents and non-residents) in amount equal or exceeding the equivalent of UAH 150,000 per month;

Cancellation of the requirement for the disbursement of transfers coming from abroad in foreign currency in favor of individuals (residents and non-residents) in amount equal or exceeding the equivalent of UAH 150,000 per month in hryvnia with the entry to the current account of the transfer recipient;

Introduction of the requirement for the foreign currency coming from abroad in favor of a resident or a non-resident individual to be paid in cash without the account opening, which may be disbursed to the recipient within one operating (business) day in amount that does not exceed the equivalent of UAH 150,000. If the amount of the transfer(s) coming within one operating (business) day exceeds the equivalent of UAH 150,000, the bank shall enter the entire amount of such transfer to the recipient’s current account in foreign currency.
