Moldova Hopes to Receive from WB Loan for Heat Supply Sector
OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2014. During the meeting of the government the start of negotiations on the draft of the financing agreement between Moldova and the World Bank for implementation of this project was approved, as well as was established a negotiating team, headed by the Vice-Prime Minister, the Minister of economy Andrian Candu.
The head of the Ministry of economy noted that, as it is planned, duty de front-end (the payment of the debtor to the creditor at the beginning of the transaction on the loan) will make 0.25% of the total amount, and the payment for obligation will make 0.25% p.a. on the unpaid balance of the loan.
It is planned that the final terms of the loan will be agreed on 6-8 October during meetings of the World Bank in Washington. Andrian Candu reminded that at the present time within the framework of the restructuring of the power sector of Chisinau in the process of combining HEC-1 and HEC-2, as well as the liquidation of "Termocom".
According to him, WB funds are intended to support the reorganization of the power sector capital by creating a single company Termoelectrica that will contribute to the creation of favorable economic conditions for the supply of heat power in the capital, reduction of losses and debt resolution for the gas companies of heat energy companies of Moldova.
