OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Association of Motor insurers calculated losses of CTP for several years and now it offers to correct the current rates of CTP. The corresponding letter was sent to the Central Bank.

According to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", first RAMI proposed to increase the number of coefficients by age and experience, as well as to change the ratio by regions. And in some cases, CTP will become more expensive, and in others - cheaper.

These changes are motivated by insurers by substantial increase of unprofitable of CTP in recent years. Despite the increase in value of the policy in October due to the increased maximum amount of payments on the CTP for the damage, caused to the property, up to 400 thousand rubles, the rate is still insufficient by almost 28%. Statistics, accumulated over the years of the CTP, shows that the accident rate for a number of categories of cars and regions has been significantly underestimated.

In particular, according to the research value of the basic tariffs for passenger transport (taxis, buses, regular traffic, trolley buses, trams) should be increased 2-3 times. In this case the base rate for cars of legal entities, tractors, motorcycles and scooters can be reduced 1.5-2 times.

"Today there is a situation when certain categories of drivers are forced to pay more for liability insurance policy tool, by subsidizing more unprofitable segments", - says the president of the RAMI, Pavel Bunin.

According to the insurers, the greatest adjustment is needed for territorial coefficients for the cities of the Volga, the North-Western and Far Eastern federal districts. For example, according to estimations, the territorial coefficients for Ulyanovsk and Ulyanovsk region should be increased by almost 80%, to Severomorsk - by 90%, and for Murmansk and Blagoveshchensk - more than 2 times.

At the same time in several cities of the Ural Federal District the territorial coefficients can be reduced by almost 2 times. For Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Leningrad regions, with taking into account the rest increases the territorial coefficients may also be somewhat reduced, though not too much.

The study results also show that the coefficients of power of the motor can be reduced almost at all cars by 10-35%, which will permit to compensate the remaining growth in the value of the policy. There are two variant offers. First offer is to keep the existing gradation by age and experience with the simultaneous increase of the coefficient for drivers under 22 years the experience of whom at least 3 years. Second - and RAMI insists on it - is to provide more gradations on experience and age, which would make the rate of CTP fairer for all groups of drivers. With such changes of coefficient "age / experience", the most significant price increase of CTP waits of drivers with experience of less than a year. And for drivers, who older than 45 years with extensive experience of driving, the factor will save on CTP policies up to 20%.
