OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2014. A signing ceremony was convened between MCC Group and Sun Kian Ip Group Co., Ltd. of Macao in Beijing.

As per the agreement, both parties will make full play of each other’s advantages, strive for mutual benefit through common growth on a win-win basis, and conduct collaboration on several projects such as Wanxiang City in Hengqin New District, Endowment Health Park in Phoenix Mountain of Zhuhai City and Macao Cultural Industry Center.

Prior to the ceremony, Guo Wenqing, Chairman & President of MCC Group and Chairman of MCC, held a discussion with Chairman Ng Lap Seng of Sun Kian Ip Group Co., Ltd. In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, both parties reviewed the friendship and discussed the promising prospect of mutual collaboration. In addition, they deeply exchanged views and reach a consensus on ways to promote the current cooperative projects and further strengthening of cooperation in the future.

Guo Wenqing extended warm welcome to Chairman Ng Lap Seng and his delegation members, and then made a briefing on the corporate profile of MCC Group. He mentioned that, Chairman Ng Lap Seng is renowned for his pulling up by his own bootstraps and becoming a famous entrepreneur through an unconstrained fluctuation process. According to Guo, MCC Group has established itself into the worldwide largest contractor for metallurgical engineering and the service provider for upgrading and transformation of metallurgical engineering technologies, and is also one of 16 central enterprises engaged in real estate development, which are approved by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council. MCC Group possesses 9 national-level scientific innovation platform and has 13 first-grade scientific research design enterprises, among which six ones are included among the first 10 ones in the top 100 best design institutes of China. Within the Group, 9 subsidiaries have obtained 14 items of Premium EPC Qualification, 4 subsidiaries have obtained engineering design qualification, and all of them are endowed with first-grade scientific research, construction and technical capability. Due to the cost and management advantages derived from the overall industrial chain services in the fields of design, construction and supervision, MCC Group has successfully realized business transformation, and obtained remarkable strength and advantages in sophisticated areas such as  urban complex, high-rise building, large-sized stadium and large-span steel structure.

Guo added that, as one of the central enterprises, MCC Group shall not only bear the responsibilities for economic and social development, and have strong political consciousness and awareness. The central enterprises shall act according to the Party's command, as well as the decisions made by the Party’s Central Committee and the State Council, and provide services to the key construction projects of the state and the economic growth in the local areas. MCC Group has played a irreplaceable role and made remarkable contribution in various period of the development of China.

At the early stage after PRC was founded in 1949, MCC Group carried out the design and engineering construction work for almost 90% of the major domestic steel works. At the early stage after the reform and opening-up policies were adopted, quite a few subsidiaries of MCC Group participated in the development of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. MCC Group has hit a famous record of Shenzhen Speed, and completed the first expressway, the first flyover and the first high-rise building in Shenzhen. Now the new generation of Chinese leadership, which is headed by General-Secretary Xi Jinping, has launched the new proclamation and mobilization order to the whole country on comprehensively deepening reform and opening-up. In this context, MCC Group has participated in the development of Qianhai, which is deemed to be the experimental field for the reform and opening-up policies of China, as well as a special zone for economic growth.

In addition, MCC Group has successfully finished the infrastructure development in Hengqin Island of Zhuhai City which is adjacent to Macao. Under this project, a large barren has been established into a new district of the city with a charming environment and huge growth potentials. This will not only expand the development space for Macao, but also become a new bridge and link between Macao and the mainland of China.

Guo Wenqing mentioned that, MCC Group is endowed with outstanding competence on design and construction, and has formed a down-to-earth, commitments valuing, efficiency and quality oriented corporate spirit, and thus has won the trust and appreciation from the employers and partners in all over the world.

Through frequent contact and communication on the relevant projects, and thanks to the concern and support extended by the Liaison Office of Central Government in Macao SAR, as well as the keen attention and promotion by the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee and Zhuhai Municipal Government, MCC Group and Sun Kian Ip Group eventually chose each other as the best partners. We will designated the most excellent project managers and design/construction team to fulfill the project execution of Wanxiang City in Hengqin New District, Endowment Health Park in Phoenix Mountain of Zhuhai City and Macao Cultural Industry Center on a quality and timely basis, and establish them into the demonstrative projects.

Guo pointed out that, this year marks the 15th anniversary of Macao’s returning to China. Both the Party’s Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the development of Macao. MCC Group has laid emphasis on the market exploration and actively participated in the economic establishment in Macao. He expected MCC Group and Sun Kian Ip Group to master the opportunities, undertake further in-depth collaboration basing upon the current cooperative projects, and jointly make contribution to the continuous prosperity of Macao SAR and the benefit of the local people.

Chairman Ng Lap Seng expressed gratitude to the hospitality extended by Chairman Guo Wenqing. He said, through the overall development work of Hengqin Island in Zhuhai City, the strong capability of design and construction, as well as the honor credibility and quality orientation, of MCC Group has greatly impressed the people of Sun Kian Ip Group. Therefore, he added that, we felt confident to entrust MCC Group for the project implementation. Chairman Ng Lap Seng expected both parties to strengthen communication and view-exchange, as well as to accelerate the project progress. These projects shall not only be established as the worldwide largest works of such kind, but also the projects with the highest level in terms of scientific technology and environment protection, and the projects which attract the people's attention of the whole world.

During the meeting, both parties learned the project profile through video, and conducted communication and exchanged views on the issues of interest. After the meeting, both parties held a signing ceremony on the cooperative projects. Under the witness of Guo Wenqing and the other leaders, Chairman Ng Lap Seng of Sun Kian Ip Group and Vice President Wang Xiufeng of MCC signed the agreements respectively on behalf of each party.

The other attendees at the meeting and the signing ceremony included: senior management of Sun Kian Ip Group; Yao Congde, CEO of A&A International Design Group of USA; Chairman Xie Shuowen of Winmika Group; and heads of the relevant subsidiaries of MCC.
