OREANDA-NEWS. AS Tallinna Vesi informs its shareholders that Tallinn Administrative Court has appointed time for the court session with regards to the tariff dispute between AS Tallinna Vesi and the Competition Authority. The court will start hearing the matter at a court session taking place on 30th of January 2015.

The Competition Authority has refused to approve the tariff applications for water services submitted by AS Tallinna Vesi since May 2011, despite of the fact that in 2012 Estonian courts have deemed the tariffs part of the Services Agreement signed between AS Tallinna Vesi and the City of Tallinn in 2001 to be an administrative agreement. Under the Administrative Procedure Act, the state must follow the administrative agreement until the agreement is amended or repealed.

Administrative Court needs to assess whether the Services Agreement signed between AS Tallinna Vesi and the City of Tallinn is binding to Competition Authority.
