OREANDA-NEWS. Kaluga Volkswagen plant in 2015 stopped the SKD assembly of crossovers Audi Q5 and Q7, and the hatchback A7, by leaving in the assembly line sedans A6 and A8. The company did not disclose how many Audi cars were produced in Kaluga for the last year, but previously it was reported that the plant is capable of producing up to 10,000 Audi cars per year. But, probably, the economic situation in Russia will not allow Volkswagen to enter the full assembly volumes of Audi in 2014, wrote "Za rulem.RF."

Volkswagen Audi resumed the production of Audi in Kaluga in the second half of 2013. The plant also produced Audi A4, A5, A6, Q5 and Q7 in 2009-2010. "It's about SKD assembly of Audi cars, which will be assembled at Volkswagen in Kaluga. All components will be delivered from Germany in Kaluga, where cars will be assembled", - said earlier the representatives of Audi.

Sales of Audi cars for two months in 2015 in Russia fell by almost 23% to 3.5 thousand units. Price of Audi A6 starts from 2,034 million Rubles, A8 - from 4.92 million Rubles.
