OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2015. The Branch of Maly Theater hosted the awards ceremony of industry competition "Rosatom’s Person of the Year 2014".

The event gathered more than 500 people - senior management of nuclear industry, finalists and their families, members of the jury and competitive commissions, and media representatives. The best workers of the nuclear industry were honored at the highest level: vibrant and dynamic show, star performers, red carpet and a handshake of Director General of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.

Over 1,000 people took part in the competition in total, including scientists, designers, engineers, machinists, miners, chemists.

The audience was addressed by General Director of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko. He noted that every victory is not just a proper performance of job duties, but a great contribution to achievement of the common goal, through which the nuclear industry remains one of the strongest sectors of the Russian economy.

Among 56 participants from ARMZ Uranium Holdings, 5 people became winners. In divisional nominations, winner diplomas went to Vitaly Kostylev, 6th grade hydrometallurgy operator at PJSC PIMCU, Sergey Vishnevsky, 7th grade stope miner at PJSC PIMCU, Yevgeny Ilyin, Head of GISiT at JSC VNIPIpromtekhnologii and Yuri Popov, rig operator from JSC Rusburmash. Achievements of each of them increased efficiency of operating processes at the enterprise. For example, Vitaly Kostylev improved the design of the airlift pumping pyrolusite, thus reducing working time and efforts required for disassembly and assembly of the device. Yevgeny Ilyin contributed to introduction of computer technology in surveying departments of organizational units.

"For me it is important to do quality work and know that results of my work are needed by the people and the company," - says Yevgeny Ilyin.

In the special category "Mentor of the Year", second place went to Edward Shcherbin, stope miner at PJSC PIMCU.

Awards were presented to the winners by Alexander Lokshin, Deputy Director General, Operations Management of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ARMZ Uranium Holding. He thanked all the participants and stressed that the competition was a good tradition, when "we can be proud of those who, through their successes and achievements are paving the way to the future. The stronger is Rosatom, the stronger is Russia."

In the near future, winners will be declared in general corporate nominations of General Director of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. We look forward to the results!
