OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2015. Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. saw the best month of August on record, and the fifth consecutive month of sales increase, for the all-new Canadian-built Ford Edge.

“It is exciting to see customers embrace the Canadian-built Ford Edge, a vehicle that showcases Ford’s technology, driver-assist features and improved performance,” said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. “The all-new Edge delivers what our customers want, and they’ve responded by making it not only the best month of August on record for Edge, but also its fifth consecutive month of sales growth.”

Ford SUV+CUV sales increased one per cent, driven by sales of the Ford Edge, up four per cent, the Ford Explorer, up 59 per cent, and the Ford Expedition, up 78 per cent.

August was the sixth consecutive month of sales increase for the Ford Mustang, as sales rose 17 per cent.  Ford Fusion sales grew six per cent.

Lincoln MKZ sales increased nine per cent, Lincoln MKX sales increased 24 per cent, Lincoln MKT sales increased 67 per cent, and Lincoln Navigator sales increased 56 per cent.
