Shvabe Has Obtained Patent for Lens Basing Device
OREANDA-NEWS. Shvabe Holding's specialists have patented a device for lens basing in a cylindrical mount. The invention refers to the sphere of optical measurements.
The device registered by S.I. Vavilov State Optical Institute JSC, a Shvabe Holding's enterprise, is designed for rotation of mounts and measurement of decentering of optical surface lenses.
Decentering of a lens is misalignment of its optical and basic axes. The technical result to be achieved by means of the device registered is the enhancement of accuracy for determination of decentering of the optical surfaces of lenses.
The invention is based on the problem of funding a device, with which it is possible to exclude uncontrolled pressure on the lens mount. In addition, it allows to measure decentering expressed in units of micrometres of controlled optical surfaces of lenses protruding from the basic surfaces of mounts, which are made in the form of rings. The main difference of this device from analogues is the use of a special bushing, without which it would be impossible to perform basing on such planes at the assembly of high-precision objectives.
The base plane in the form of ring has been generated in the bushing for basing the end face of the cylindrical lens mount. The diameter of cylindrical surface of the bushing has been made with a guaranteed gap allowing to shift the lens in the mount by means of pads. They are fixed with the use of a plastic material. It helps to fix the lens initially and simultaneously shift the pads together with it. It provides the possibility to measure breakage of the controlled optical surface of the lens even in case of deviations in several micrometres. As a result, the enhancement of accuracy of determination of decentering of the optical surfaces of lenses is achieved.
