OREANDA-NEWS. Company "AZIA AVTO Kazakhstan" expects to increase the production of LADA cars up to 19 thousand units by the end of 2016. The CEO of assembly plant, Erzhan Mandiev, said about it in an interview with the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT".

Recall that the creation of joint venture "ASIA AUTO Kazakhstan" and AvtoVAZ was announced in 2013. It was expected that the plant will start to work in the 2015 - 2016 year. The first models in the line of the future enterprise were to be LADA Granta and LADA Kalina.

Currently, the company's management expects that the launch of the first new production line will be in mid-2018. The design capacity of the first stage - is 60 thousand units per year. With the launch of the second stage the company is going to increase the production volumes up to 120 thousand cars. Therewith, the list of produced models will include new items - LADA Vesta and LADA XRAY.

Meanwhile, in Kazakhstan there are assembled cars LADA 4x4. The company also cooperates with the KIA, Skoda and Chevrolet.
