OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2016.  Pinterest is renaming its "Pin it" button to "Save" in hopes of connecting with a broader international audience.

The digital-scrapbooking said in a blog with more than half its 100 million monthly users coming from outside of the the United States, they decided to change the popular "Pin It" for the more relatable "Save."

"It turns out that the notion of 'Pinning' ideas doesn't always resonate with everyone around the world," said Steven Walling, a Pinterest project manager.
