OREANDA-NEWS  By the end of March 2026, the total volume of exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia to Spain increased sharply amid large-scale disruptions in fuel supplies from the Middle East. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from the local energy company Enagás.

During the reporting period, the total supply of Russian LNG in this direction increased by 123 percent compared to the same period in 2025. In the first month of spring, domestic exporters shipped a total of 9,807 gigawatt-hours to the European kingdom.

The achieved result exceeded a quarter (26.1 percent) of all LNG imports to Spain. As a result, Russia has once again become one of the three largest suppliers of this type of fuel to the kingdom's market. In the ranking, it was surpassed only by the United States with a share of 31.7 percent and Algeria (30.2 percent).
