OREANDA-NEWS  Lubmin-Brandov Gastransport GmbH, which is part of the German Uniper and owns a 20% stake in the OPAL gas pipeline (an onshore extension of the Nord Stream through Germany), is asking the international Arbitration court at the International Chamber of Commerce in Geneva to recover more than EUR 45,2 million from Russian Gazprom Export for pumping gas through the OPAL., follows from the materials of the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

"Gazprom Export LLC has received a statement from the company... Lubmin-Brandov Gastransport GmbH... dated July 21, 2025 on the initiation of arbitration proceedings against Gazprom Export LLC, according to which the company... Requests the International Arbitration Court at the International Chamber of Commerce (Geneva, Switzerland) to recover funds from Gazprom Export LLC in the total amount of 45,222,835 euros 16 euro cents, with interest accruing for the specified amount," the St. Petersburg court ruling says.

As noted, the contract between Gazprom Export and Lubmin-Brandov Gastransport GmbH for the transportation of natural gas via the OPAL pipeline was signed on June 1, 2012.
