OREANDA-NEWS   The state food reserve in Estonia in case of a military conflict will last only for a week, said Ando Leppiman, head of the republic's reserves center.

"Now we have food supplies for about one week, if we talk about the entire population. These are various ready-made products that can be used immediately. We are talking about flour products, energy-rich foods, everything that is essentially ready for consumption," the ERR television and radio company quoted Leppiman as saying.

As Hannes Nagel, head of the Crisis Research Center, explained, the state food reserve is designed "for the blackest scenarios - for situations when the country is hit by an acute crisis, for example, a military conflict... when the delivery of food to the country is hampered or almost completely stopped."
