OREANDA-NEWS  The German right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the federal state of Bavaria proposed creating a police unit following the example of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to track asylum seekers in Germany and coordinate deportations, Euronews TV channel reported on Monday, citing internal party documents.

"The German right-wing Alternative for Germany party ... in Bavaria proposes to create a special police unit modeled on the American Immigration and Customs Control service to track asylum seekers and coordinate deportations," the article says.

In addition to the initiative to create an ICE analogue in Germany, the AFD also proposed introducing mandatory community service and curfews for asylum seekers, which, according to the leader of the AFD parliamentary faction in Bavaria, Katrin Ebner-Steiner, will lead to "increased public safety," the TV channel reports.
