OREANDA-NEWS The number of flu victims in Romania has increased to 68 since the beginning of December, 11 of them died in the last week, the press service of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) reported.

"During the week, 11 deaths caused by the flu virus were confirmed, bringing the total number of deaths since the beginning of the season to 68. 9,039 clinical cases of influenza have been registered across the country, which is 1.6 times more than the average over the past 5 seasons," the institute said in a statement posted on its website.

Flu patients were registered in all counties, most of the patients live in the cities of Bucharest, Prahova and Constanta.
