OREANDA-NEWS  In China, more than 1.04 million people were evacuated in anticipation of the super typhoon approaching the south of the country. This is reported by the CCTV TV channel.

We are talking about super typhoon Ragasa with a wind speed of 20 kilometers per hour, which is approaching Guangdong Province. According to experts, on September 24-25, the phenomenon will hit Hainan Island, Guangdong Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau, as well as Yunnan Province.

Meteorologists expect hurricanes, torrential rains, large-scale floods and even a tsunami. In this regard, more than 1.044 million people have already been evacuated from Guangdong Province. Schools, shops and businesses have been suspended in dangerous areas.

Earlier it was reported that Super typhoon Ragasa hit the Philippine island of Kalan. The maximum wind speed is 59 meters per second, and gusts reach 81 meters per second. The wind has already blown off the roof of one of the schools on the island — the debris collapsed on the evacuation center, one person was injured.
