OREANDA-NEWS The Russians who disappeared in Egypt and were later found are now in Istanbul to fly home, Pavel Revenko, the father of one of the tourists, told RIA Novosti.

"The secretary of the Russian diplomatic mission in Egypt, Alexander Argentov, contacted the Egyptian Interior Ministry. It became known for sure that they were alive and detained. After that, the police quickly brought them to the airport, and not to the embassy, as it should be," said the agency interlocutor.

p.m. "They bought tickets with their own money and flew to Istanbul, which is the nearest flight from where they can quickly fly to Russia. I talked to my son, and we landed in Istanbul. He says he doesn't understand why he was detained, and no charges have been filed. All three of them are not feeling well, they have not slept normally since their arrest. And now they are sleeping," Pavel continued.
