OREANDA-NEWS  Bahraini oil company Bapco Energies BSC declared force majeure after explosions at its refinery. This is reported by the BNA news agency.

The operation of the closed company has been affected by the ongoing regional conflict in the Middle East and the recent attack on its refinery complex. Bapco assured that the needs of the local market are fully met in accordance with the proactive measures taken. They must ensure continuity of supply and meet local demand without compromising production.

On March 9, a fire started in the oil-producing emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a result of falling debris from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The fire engulfed the refinery, but no one was injured in the incident.

The port of Fujairah, one of the world's largest hubs for the storage and transshipment of oil and petroleum products, was already hit by an Iranian missile a few days ago. Also on the evening of March 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported an attack on several oil storage facilities in Tehran.
