OREANDA-NEWS Russia has accumulated significant reserves of the Indian national currency, but it is difficult for it to use these funds in the economy of this South Asian country. This was reported by Bloomberg.

Now the Reserve Bank of India, acting as a regulator, is looking for ways to invest these funds in the local economy for productive purposes. According to a representative of this department, India is trying to pursue a flexible policy and several Russian banks have already offered it various options for using these rupees.

Today, India allows Russia to invest rupee assets in local stocks subject to certain restrictions.
