OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2008. The Cabinet signed a number of documents enabling to carry out inventory of lands in Ukraine, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told a press conference by results of the Government's meeting.

She noted that the land inventory was not held for over 50 years in Ukraine. There was neither the legislative base for it, nor system, procedures and the funds, Tymoshenko noted.

Today, according to the Premier, a whole complex of normative documents was adopted, in particular, the draft law on state inventory of lands and draft amendments to the Land Code. Financial expenses for carrying out a large-scale and complete inventory of lands will be taken into consideration in amendments to the Budget, elaboration of which is being completed by the Government, Yulia Tymoshenko said.

President Viktor Yushchenko also insists on adopting a plan of measures concerning a stage-by-stage endorsement of the inventory and monetary appraisal of all lands in Ukraine.
