OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2008.  The authorities of Krasnodar Region will hold the second round of the tender to lease the land plots within “Azov City” gaming zone located at the boundary of Krasnodar and Rostov regions.
During the first round of the Kuban tender which was held in June the businessmen were offered to bid for 5 land plots with total area of 26 hectares: four land plots with the area of 2 hectares each and one – of 18. The bidding for the largest plot failed. Austrian company ASATI which was expected to be the main investor of “Azov City” and was supposed to lease that plot did not participated in the tender. According to President of Gambling Operators` Association in the South Federal District Nikolay Oganezov senior officers of the company must have disapproved of the deal.

At the same time the regional administration claims that the deal fell through on technical grounds. The Press Service noted that three companies made bids for the land plot with the area of 18 hectares, however, none of them fulfilled the bidding conditions. As a result, the regional authority will present this plot for bidding in the second round of the tender. Its conditions will be announced on coming Wednesday.

In the second round the investors will be as well offered three more land plots within “Azov City. In total there will be 21 land plots within the area of primary development of “Azov City” zone proposed to the investors.
