OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2008. The assistance has been provided to Moldova including its Transnistrian region through Operation Provide Hope. Medical equipment and supplies were received by medical facilities in Tiraspol, Slobozia, Balti, Cahul and Chisinau.

It has taken 100 trucks to carry the 500 thousand kilograms of medical equipment and supplies into the country.

Examples of the equipment being provided include monitoring equipment for intensive care, X-ray and film processing equipment, anesthesia machines, sterilization equipment, and bandages, linens, and needles. Operation Provide Hope team members will stay for several weeks to unload and install the medical equipment and provide training to medical professionals in the use of the equipment.
