OREANDA-NEWS. The judicial district No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow fined Facebook Inc, Twitter Inc and Telegram Messenger Inc, respectively, for $288 thousand (21 million rubles), $68 thousand (5 million rubles) and $123 thousand (9 million rubles). This is reported on Tuesday, September 14, by the Telegram channel «Moscow courts».

The magistrate found the management of three social networks guilty under parts 2 and 4 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. Part 4, in particular, states that a fine may be imposed if «information or an Internet page containing calls for extremist activities, materials with pornographic images of minors», as well as information «on methods, methods of developing, manufacturing and using narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances» is not deleted if «the obligation to delete such information is provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation». It is not specified which content Facebook, Twitter and Telegram did not delete.

According to the newspaper «Novaya Gazeta», the total amount of Facebook fines in Russia exceeded $1,2 million (90 million rubles), Twitter and Telegram were fined a total of $617 thousand (45 million rubles) and $480 thousand (35 million rubles), respectively.
