OREANDA-NEWS. E.ON Russia publishes unaudited financial results of its activities for the first three months of 2016, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

The company’s revenue in the corresponding period has grown by 16.7%, as compared to the first quarter of 2015, and amounted to RUB 22.4 billion. The company's revenue in January-March 2016 was affected by the following factors: operation of power unit 4 at Surgutskaya GRES- 2; which was under repair during the same period in 2015; and payments received for the capacity supplied under Capacity Supply Agreements for power unit 3 at Berezovskaya GRES before February 01, 2016.

EBITDA for January-March 2016 has a negative value, and amounts to RUB 1 billion. The underlying net loss for the reporting period amounts to RUB 2.1 billion. The decrease in the financial performance was caused by an accident at the 3rd power unit of Berezovskaya GRES which took place in February 2016 and resulted in the retirement of a part of the assets. Without regard to the influence of this factor, the company’s operating profit exceeds the figures of the previous year.
