OREANDA-NEWS IIn 2022, Finnish border guards banned 3,375 foreign citizens from entering the border with the Russian Federation.

This figure is seven and a half times more than the result of 2021. One of the main reasons for the ban on entry, the Finnish side called the need to "ensure public order and security due to restrictions in accordance with government decisions."

In just a year, over 1.5 million people passed through the largest border checkpoints on the Finnish-Russian border, which is 117% more than in 2021.
