OREANDA-NEWS    Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring Galina Bobrysheva at the conference of the Association of Russian Banks said that microfinance organizations (MFOs) have come up with a way to circumvent the ban on settlements with online casinos, thanks to which they were able to bring more than two billion rubles into shadow circulation.

As Bobrysheva noted, Rosfinmonitoring's tracking of such operations allowed the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to block access to the financial market for about 30 MFIs. According to her, this year about 80 thousand transactions worth 27 billion rubles were received from banks with a typology identifier.

Bobrysheva stressed that one of the latest examples of the effective use of additionally marked information is the suppression of the activities of MFOs to cover up settlements with online casinos that are prohibited as participants in the gambling business in the Russian Federation. The deputy director of the department clarified that more than two billion rubles were withdrawn into the shadow turnover under this scheme, and the Bank of Russia promptly stopped access of 30 MFIs to the financial market.
