OREANDA-NEWS  From April 1, Russians can increase social benefits by 3.3 percent in addition to the indexation carried out in June 2022 by 10 percent. The relevant proposal was made by the Ministry of Labor of the country, the project has been submitted for public discussion, the press service of the agency RIA Novosti reports.

Thus, it is planned to increase payments to pensioners by 13.6 percent over the year, as the living wage was previously increased, the ministry said. 15.57 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget to implement the plan by the end of this year. The general indexation of payments for the year "will increase the level of pension provision for about four million pensioners," according to the organization.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Andrey Pudov stressed that the cumulative growth rate of the social pension will exceed the actual price increase for 2022. At the end of the year, inflation was 11.9 percent.
