OREANDA-NEWS The volume of planned investments in the Sevastopol IT park will amount to about 3.5 billion rubles. This was announced by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev at the opening of Sevastopol Day during the exhibition-forum "Russia" at VDNH.

"In the future, Sevastopol will become a Mecca for the IT sector, for our programmers, and we are already doing a lot for this. We have an IT-Crimea technopark. Already today, the volume of planned investments is almost 3.5 billion [rubles], about 20 resident companies, about 350 people already work in the IT cluster," he said.

The head of Sevastopol added that the interaction of the IT cluster with Sevastopol State University is currently being discussed within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. New laboratories are being created at the university so that young people stay in the city and choose professions in the IT sector.

According to the government of Sevastopol, the project to create a technopark in the field of information technology has been implemented in the city since 2018. The project creates favorable conditions for the start of a new and development of an existing IT business on the basis of a single innovation platform. By 2030, it is planned to expand the infrastructure of the technopark, build new facilities, including a corporate university, a business incubator, innovation laboratories, and a congress center. The total operational area by 2030 will be about 40 thousand square meters, the number of jobs will be about 5 thousand.
