OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Central Bank did not see a threat in the new privatization for Russia's strategic interests. The presidential aide agreed that the state needs to get out of inefficiently used assets and recalled the proposals of the head of VTB.

The continuation of privatization will have a positive impact on the Russian economy, and the key is not the issue of state income, but the development of private business and initiative, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said at the SPIEF, RBC correspondent reports.

"I think that, of course, it is necessary to privatize. And we have something to privatize without prejudice to strategic interests, because sometimes they say that it is not necessary to privatize, because we will not fulfill some strategic tasks. We have the opportunity to do this," the economist said.
