OREANDA-NEWS Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a resolution on allocating 9.8 billion rubles from the Federal budget for the purchase of Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft. Later, they will be leased to Russian airlines engaged in regional air transportation, according to the official document. The money for these purposes is included in the Federal budget.

The resolution noted that total will buy eight aircraft production of JSC "Sukhoi Civil aircraft", which is 18.7 billion rubles. The document published on Thursday on the government website.

"State support will increase the number of purchased and leased aircraft and maintain favorable conditions for airlines leasing payments", - explained in the document.

According to the decree, the aircraft will be delivered during 2018 and 2019.

Earlier it became known that the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and Aeroflot signed an agreement on the supply of 100 Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft to the airline in the period from 2019 to 2026. Currently, the air carrier has 49 aircraft of this model, another company will receive soon.

Sukhoi Superjet-100-Russian passenger aircraft, designed for 98 passengers and flight range up to 4600 kilometers. Developed by "Sukhoi Civil aircraft". The production of some parts and assemblies of the aircraft is carried out at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plant in the Khabarovsk territory.
