OREANDA-NEWS  Gold supplies to Hong Kong from Russia have almost tripled in physical terms in the first eight months of this year, and the cost of these supplies has soared fourfold, according to data from the Department of Population Census and Statistics of Hong Kong, which was studied by RIA Novosti.

So, in total, in January-August of this year, Hong Kong imported 138.9 tons of gold from the Russian Federation, which is 2.9 times more than in the same period of 2025.

At the same time, the cost of supplies increased fourfold and reached 154.83 billion Hong Kong dollars (or 19.75 billion US dollars).
