OREANDA-NEWS The Deputy Head of the Central Bank of Russia, Zulfiya Kakhrumanova, spoke about the advantages of the digital ruble for Russians. She listed them in a conversation with KP.RU .
In particular, according to her, through the digital ruble platform, Russians can urgently transfer a large amount of money to relatives without fees and limits. In addition, individual entrepreneurs can reduce the cost of accepting payments, and large companies can reduce the cost of paying salaries.
"The funds in the digital ruble account are guaranteed by the state in full, without restrictions. If we talk about non—cash accounts, there is a certain amount of guarantee — 1.4 million rubles," she said.
Kakhrumanova also added that a subscription service will appear in the near future. They can be paid from a digital ruble account.
The digital ruble began to be introduced en masse on September 1. Earlier it became known that Russians opened more than 220 thousand accounts in digital rubles in a month, of which about 10 thousand were for legal entities and about 1.5 thousand more for individual entrepreneurs.
