OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, the average contribution of an individual has increased by 8.8 percent since the beginning of 2026. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA).

According to him, as of April 1, this amount reached 456,000 rubles. The total amount of insured funds on deposits is estimated at 85.8 trillion rubles. According to the agency, deposits from individuals in the range of three to ten million rubles grew the fastest (plus 4.9 percent in total and 4.7 percent in the number of depositors).

At the same time, the share of household deposits in foreign currency in the first quarter fell to a historic low, falling from 5.2 to 4.9 percent.

According to Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market, one of the best options for saving savings is a bank deposit. In addition, he advised Russians to pay attention to bonds and stocks, but urged them not to take risks with investments in gold.
