OREANDA-NEWS  The dollar exchange rate set by the Bank of Russia on October 13 was 83.9153 rubles. The relevant information is posted on the regulator's website.

The euro fell to 94.0355 rubles, and the yuan to 12.5360 rubles.

On October 12, the quotes of the American and European currencies were 84.9048 and 94.9745 rubles, respectively. The yuan was worth 12.6739 rubles.

According to Alexander Bakhtin, an investment strategist at Garda Capital, one of the main factors strengthening the ruble is the tight monetary policy of the Central Bank. The high key rate continues to support the Russian currency through an internal channel. Rigid PREP restrains lending, consumption, and import demand. At the same time, it makes ruble deposits, bonds, and money market funds more attractive for savings.
