OREANDA-NEWS  Against the background of rising inflation, which has exceeded 7 percent annually, thus going beyond the range of 6-7 percent planned by the Bank of Russia, the regulator is likely to raise the forecast for price growth rates at the October board of directors, according to investment banker Evgeny Kogan.

He suggested that the forecast would be raised to 7.0-7.5 percent, which is in line with the forecasts of some other analysts.

At the same time, Kogan noted that an increase in the key rate or forecasts for it should not be expected, as well as a decrease, since there is "no decrease in steady inflation either," and "without the seasonality factor, annual inflation in the last four weeks has been 7 percent (SAAR)."

Yesterday it became known that prices in Russia increased by 0.96 percent in the week from September 29 to October 5. As follows from the projections of the Ministry of Finance, by the end of 2026, the indicator is expected to reach 6.8 percent.
