OREANDA-NEWS The increasing number of defaults on the Russian securities market does not appear to be a threatening trend due to the overall insignificant volume of unfulfilled obligations. This is stated in the draft of the main directions for the development of the financial market for 2027 and the planning period of 2028 and 2029, published on the website of the Bank of Russia.

The regulator emphasized that, given the high key rate and sanctions pressure, the importance of monitoring the accumulation of risks in the market for corporate bonds and digital financial assets (DFAs) is significant, and therefore ongoing monitoring of the situation in this market will continue.

Last week, the company “Evrotans”, operator of one of the largest independent gas station networks in the Moscow region, “Trassa”, suffered actual defaults on all types of bonds.

At the same time, the Meshchansky Court of Moscow arrested Igor Martyshov, chairman of the board of directors of “Evrotans”, in a criminal case involving the theft of fuel from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Against this backdrop, the company's shares plummeted by tens of percent. Since the beginning of the year, they have lost five times their value.
